Calli Carvajal  was born and raised in San Francisco to a family of artists and dancers. Through her family she began working on stage and behind the scenes at a very young age. Her love for hair design came early in life as she was already styling wigs and dying her friends and families hair by the age of 12.

In 2004 she studied hair at the AVEDA Institute of NYC and graduated top of her class. She began working as a stylist almost immediately for the Leonard Golino Salon in 2005. At the same time she has been working with prestigious photographers such as Heath McBride , (of Shoot Digital) Aron Norman,and Peter Rosa, (of Seed Reps) Make-up artist Vanessa Evelyn on fashion editorial photo shoots. Her work has been featured in NOISE magazine, Bello mag, and most recently as the  creative hair designer  for Amy Kuschel 2009 bridal collection run way show,Haute Hippie Couture 2009 at Bryant Park,and Papusa couture 2009 collection for Williamsburg fashion week. She has worked on some famous actors and musicians such as Sinead Cusack, Neil Patrick Harris, (for 2004 Tony Awards) Celina Carvajal, (Sex & the City movie, MTV's Legaly blonde the search for Elle Woods, Brian Fishler, ( of Richard Cheese) Ian Hendrickson-Smith,( of Sharon Jones and the Dap Kings) and Adam Scone ( of MOFRO) to name a few.

She has extensive knowledge of the history of fashion and hair making her extremely diverse in her abilities as a stylist. She specializes in cut, color and up-do's from vintage and retro to modern and edgy.
